About the position

The Data, Risk & Privacy - Data Governance (Collibra Ranger) Senior Manager role at PwC involves leading strategic programs in cybersecurity, privacy, and forensics. This position focuses on helping clients manage their data governance strategies, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and implementing effective governance controls to mitigate information risks. The Senior Manager will work collaboratively with teams to address complex business issues and drive innovation in data management practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead Data Governance projects to define strategy, roadmap, operating model, policies/standards, and tool design.
• Manage teams implementing Data Governance tools in complex business environments.
• Develop specialized expertise in data governance and advise stakeholders on relevant technical issues.
• Establish root causes of issues and tackle them effectively.
• Anticipate stakeholder needs and develop potential solutions proactively.
• Build trust with teams and stakeholders through open communication.
• Navigate the complexities of global teams and engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance or related areas.
• Experience managing projects related to data governance strategy and technology implementation.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and models, including the 3-line of defense model.
• Experience with major data governance enterprise platforms such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, protection, and regulatory aspects of data governance.
