About the position

As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expertise and guidance to team members who prepare instruction manuals, how-to guides, articles, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily. The Data Science Technical Writer (Flexible Hybrid) role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Organize and implement processes for maintaining information about technical products, policies, or other elements.
• Lead team in developing, and conduct reviews of, documents that translate technical information in non-technical terminology.
• Organize and create documentation for maintaining information about Data Science Models (traditional and AIML).
• Develop and conduct reviews of documents that translate technical information in non-technical terminology.
• Collaborate with model stakeholders (users, owners, developers) to ensure documentation meets their needs.
• Revise existing documentation as needed to ensure meets Fannie Mae standards.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal.
• Strong communication skills, particularly in writing.
• Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor degree or equivalent.
• Experience with Data Science or modelling of any kind.
• Ability to frame ideas as systems and analyzing the inputs, outputs, and process.
• Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion.
• Programming including coding, debugging, and using relevant programming languages.
• Experience with how applications are implemented, tested and maintained.
• Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.
