About the position

The Junior Data Scientist position in Springfield, VA requires TS/SCI clearance. The role involves supporting NSG strategies through the creation of automated collection models, dynamic analytic models, workflow automations, and other automation processes and products as assigned. The candidate will refine, enhance, and improve the operational performance of automated solutions by evaluating performance data, engaging in regular customer interactions, and following a standardized maintenance cycle. Additionally, the role requires applying data science and visual programming tradecraft to streamline analysis tasks as identified by stakeholders and the Government. The candidate will also enhance technical solutions to problems related to IC intelligence integration, automated collections, tipping and cueing, information sharing, and visualization, while conducting extensive collections and analytic modeling, and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Support NSG strategies through the creation of automated collection models and dynamic analytic models.
• Refine, enhance, and improve the operational performance of automated solutions.
• Evaluate performance data and engage in regular customer interactions.
• Apply data science and visual programming tradecraft to streamline analysis tasks.
• Enhance technical solutions related to IC intelligence integration and automated collections.
• Conduct extensive collections and analytic modeling, and data processing.

Requirements

• Proficiency in common geospatial software applications and tools.
• Experience with visual programming (JEMA, FADE/MIST, ECO/ETAS).
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, and R.
• Familiarity with Git, GIMS, AWS Sagemaker, and AWS Cloud.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and statistical methods (descriptive, Bayesian).
• Understanding of Markov-Chain modelling, TensorFlow, Linear Algebra, and NLP.
