Data Scientist with AML

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and train machine learning models to identify patterns and anomalies indicative of fraud.
• Utilize statistical modeling techniques and advanced algorithms to enhance fraud detection systems.
• Continuously monitor, evaluate, and refine model performance to improve accuracy and reduce false positives.
• Collaborate with domain experts to integrate domain knowledge into model development and ensure real-world applicability.
• Analyze transaction data and customer behaviors to uncover suspicious activities aligned with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) frameworks.
• Support compliance and risk management teams with insights derived from machine learning models and analytics.
• Perform advanced data analysis and preprocessing on large datasets to ensure data quality and usability.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and management.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL for database querying and management.
• Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis and model development.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Jira.
• Experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and fraud detection practices.
• Hands-on experience with large datasets and data preprocessing.
• Experience in deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English at C1 level ensuring clear and professional communication.
