The Enterprise Data Management Strategy & Governance team at Evernorth Health Services is responsible for creating and maintaining Data Governance (DG) policies, standards, processes, and roles for the enterprise. This team establishes oversight and accountability to drive the adoption and compliance of these policies, ensuring that the company's data maintains a high degree of reliability and integrity. The mission of the team is to maximize data value for business stakeholders, reduce company risk, and create consistent and trusted data throughout its lifecycle. As a Senior Advisor, the role requires a comprehensive understanding of governance initiatives, particularly in designing and rolling out enterprise-level requirements for data quality. This includes developing a plan for monitoring success and managing issues related to data governance. The Senior Advisor will act as a thought leader in establishing operational and leadership reporting, collaborating with lines of business (LOBs) to develop requirements, meaningful dashboards, and controls that align data risk with Enterprise Risk Management standards. In this highly visible role, the incumbent will work closely with business and technical leaders, as well as subject matter experts, to drive practices that support the standardization of operational information and the execution of enterprise-wide data governance policies and standards. The position requires providing counsel and advice to top management on significant Data Management Strategy & Governance matters, often necessitating coordination between various organizations. The Senior Advisor will also support and advocate for the strategy regarding the definition and delivery of critical clinical reference information used across Evernorth and Cigna, ensuring that clinical reference data is adopted from a single source rather than maintained at the department level.
