Platform Data Services is the team that Builds, Manages, and Maintains Choice Hotels data platforms and services. As a key member of Platform Data Services, you will provide administration for database infrastructure, data services, and management systems as well as support Choice end users including, developers, engineers, and technical support staff. Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, documents, and maintains multiple database platforms and data services.
- Provides support for the Data Service environment to internal & external teams.
- Proactively monitors database system operations and activity.
- Provides performance tuning and optimization recommendations.
- Assists with disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation.
- Troubleshoots and resolves performance issues and critical incidents.
- Implements and maintains security standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
- At least 1-2 years' experience in Database Administration or Engineering.
- Experience in one or more Database Platforms (MySQL, PostGres, DynamoDB)
- Experience in one or more Data Services (Elasticache, Athena, Quicksight, Glue)
- Demonstrates key competencies to include Customer Focus, Technical Savvy, Cultivates Innovation, Ensures Accountability.
