About the position

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to support the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC). This analyst will play an important role helping to build a flexible and responsive IT environment that meets NCTC's evolving and changing mission priorities. Responsibilities

• Providing data services, data administration, data management, and 'Big Data' support in client/server, virtual machine, and cloud infrastructure environment and/or migrations between these environments.
• Database installation, configuration, and upgrading database server software and related products, backup and recovery policies and procedures, database implementation, security, optimization, multi-domain operation, and performance management.
• Supporting Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, cloud, and other technologies associated with data storage, processing, management, and use.
• Migration/transition of database capability into cloud-based technologies and/or creation of interfaces between classic relational databases and key indexes to cloud-based columnar databases and map reduce index capabilities.
• Support for planning, executing, and managing Enterprise data backup, DR, and COOP operations and support; ensuring Enterprise data backup, DR, and COOP requirements are considered throughout the application or systems' lifecycle.

Requirements

• Currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance
• Years of experience required with degree: BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
