This position requires an active Top-Secret Clearance and involves working as a Database Administrator in a government or security-focused environment. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities related to the installation, configuration, and maintenance of relational databases, ensuring their performance, security, and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Monitor database performance and optimize for efficiency.
• Implement regular backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide solutions promptly.
• Perform database tuning and fine-tuning for enhanced performance.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure database security compliance.
• Conduct periodic audits of database systems and ensure data integrity.
• Assist in the design and implementation of database architectures.
• Provide support during system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and relevant industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, preferably in a government or security-focused environment.
• Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.
• Prior experience working with federal agencies or in cleared environments is a plus.
