About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator with strong experience in SQL Server and PostgreSQL administration. The ideal candidate will hold an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI, and possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field with at least 5 years of work experience. Candidates with 8 years of work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. The role requires Information Assurance (IA) training and certification per the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, IAW the most current DoDM 8140.03.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate changes to computer databases.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve database performance issues, database capacity, and database scalability.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
  • Create hardware lists, software lists, network diagrams, network data flow diagrams, SOPs, and other required documentation.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field and 5 years of work experience, or 8 years of work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Information Assurance (IA) training and certification per the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement; IAW most current DoDM 8140.03.
  • Experience in SQL Server and PostgreSQL administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Ability to administer, test, and implement computer databases.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Oracle preferred.
  • Experience with MongoDB and cloud platforms.
  • Ability to create and maintain various technical documentation.
