About the position

Seven Hills Foundation is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our operational databases, ensuring security, availability, and top performance-especially within an Azure environment. This role is essential in supporting our mission by optimizing database functionality and maintaining critical data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee database security, user access, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Establish and maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Manage database operations in Azure and AWS environments.
  • Debug and refine resource-intensive queries, optimize database performance.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging database technologies and best practices.
  • Provide technical assistance to users and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure operations align with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-10 years as a Database Administrator with expertise in SQL, Azure, Snowflake, Workato, FiveTran, and other database-related tools.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL, MS SQL, NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power BI, SSIS, Tableau a plus.
  • Expertise in database security, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with web application security and object-oriented design.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Standard Driver's License (Class C or D) required.
  • No professional certifications required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Power Automate, Power BI, SSIS, Tableau a plus.
