About the position
We are seeking a skilled professional with experience in administrating Datadog Tools, utilizing various modules such as APM, Errors, Logs, and Digital Experience to monitor Enterprise Services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in integrating Datadog with other systems like MuleSoft, Salesforce, Confluent Kafka, and Azure. This role requires expertise in reviewing error logs, correlating them with architectural components and services, and making necessary adjustments to log formats for improved troubleshooting. The candidate should also be capable of developing solutions to monitor new applications and services, as well as having prior experience in reporting, dashboard creation, and analytics, particularly with API backend calls from Datadog for custom metric ingestion.
Responsibilities
- Utilize monitoring tools for custom metrics
- Conduct meetings
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders including business, development, and ops teams
- Exhibit self-starting tendencies and take initiative on assignments
- Produce reports, presentations, and complex spreadsheets using Microsoft Office Suite
- Support day-to-day operational tasks including account management and incident resolution
- Participate in MI/collaboration calls
- Document and review SOPs
- Create and manage architectural diagrams for critical networks
- Automate support processes with custom scripts
- Monitor enterprise network and applications
- Fine-tune alerts to reduce noise
- Develop monitoring solutions for unmonitored components
- Utilize scripting languages like Python and PowerShell
- Solve complicated monitoring challenges and see projects through to completion
- Assist colleagues with technical problems and knowledge sharing
- Be available for 24x7 rotational shift support if urgent requirements arise
- Integrate with REST API and other tools
- Apply knowledge of IT IS and ITSM practices
Requirements
- Experience in administrating Datadog Tools
- Experience in integrating with systems like MuleSoft, Salesforce, Confluent Kafka, Azure
- Expertise in reviewing error logs and correlating them with architectural components
- Ability to develop monitoring solutions for new applications/services
- Prior experience in reporting, dashboard creation, and analytics with Datadog
Nice-to-haves
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience in scripting languages like Python and PowerShell
