About The Position

The Day Program Coordinator (DPC) position is a full-time, salaried role responsible for assisting and directing the Program Manager in the daily operations of the Behavior Intervention Services (BIS) Day Program. The DPC is expected to manage various aspects of the program, ensuring compliance with Medicaid standards and Department of Mental Health requirements while providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The role requires effective time management, communication skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including being on-call for emergencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field of study.
  • 3+ years' experience providing supervision in the Human Services field.
  • 1 year experience providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors.
  • Knowledge of policy, procedure, and guidelines for the Day Program environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook systems.
  • 2 years' experience providing supervision to Day Program employees.
  • Good standing with the agency for a minimum of one year with no major violations or disciplinary actions in the past 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and direct the Program Manager in daily business operations.
  • Oversee the BIS Day Program department and ensure compliance with Medicaid and Department of Mental Health requirements.
  • Provide direct and indirect support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Manage the responsibilities of Day Program Manager and Day Hab Support Specialists.
  • Be on-call during and after Day Program hours for emergencies.
  • Work a flexible schedule that may vary daily based on assigned tasks.
