About the position

As a DB2 Database Administrator at Fiserv, you will be a crucial member of our technology team, ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our DB2 database environments. You will play a key role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems that support our critical applications. Your expertise will help drive operational efficiency and data integrity across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain DB2 databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
• Design and implement database backup, recovery, and archiving strategies.
• Monitor database systems and proactively identify performance issues, resolving them in a timely manner.
• Perform database tuning and optimization to enhance performance.
• Implement and manage database security, including roles, permissions, and encryption.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in DB2 database administration.
• 6+ years of experience in database security management.
• Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL.
• 6+ years of experience in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Recognized certifications in database administration or DB2.
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
