CMS Controls is the leading building automation and controls company in North Carolina, known for providing hundreds of installations across the Southeast with proven cost-effective energy-saving designs. The company specializes in building automation, lighting controls, and systems integration, offering tailored solutions for various types of facilities. We are currently seeking motivated and energetic individuals who thrive in a team atmosphere for the position of Building Automation Programmer/Systems Integrator. This role is crucial in programming control systems for commercial Building Automation Systems (BAS) to meet customer goals and contractual obligations of the project. As a Building Automation Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and commissioning Siemens and Distech DDC controls to meet engineered sequences of operations. Your essential duties will include programming Siemens PPCL, DXRS, and Desigo, as well as Distech Controls Systems. You will also program and test DDC control sequences based on engineered drawings, integrate building equipment and legacy controllers using LonWorks, BACnet, Modbus, and third-party protocols, and provide training for customers. Keeping well-documented startup and commissioning reports, providing as-built drawings to the DDC engineer, and giving daily updates to the project manager are also key responsibilities of this position. The work environment is dynamic, as it typically involves both office work and onsite visits to customer facilities. You will be required to travel to client sites in varying weather conditions, which may include commercial building conditions and construction site conditions. The physical demands of the job include sitting, occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of BAS controls concepts and applications, as well as strong knowledge of commercial building mechanical and electrical operations.
