About The Position

The Deaf/Hard of Hearing Sign Language Interpreter position at Fresno Unified School District is designed for individuals who are committed to supporting students with hearing impairments in an educational setting. Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience interpreting in an educational setting is desired.
  • Completion of 48 college units or passing the NCLB paraprofessional exam.
  • Certification by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or equivalent assessment.
  • Valid California Driver's License.

  • Graduate of an interpreter training program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sign language interpretation for deaf and hard of hearing students in various educational settings.
