Requirements

• Must show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, balancing, and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
• No minimum education requirement; on-the-job training available.
• Must be available for the entire employment period and work throughout all areas of intended employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare trawler for shrimping operations.
• Put nets into the water and retrieve them.
• Sort and head shrimp for processing.
• Place shrimp in baskets, rinse, and dip in preservative.
• Assist in offloading the catch and other related Deckhand/Header activities.

Benefits

• $15.62 per hour with overtime pay at $23.43 per hour.
• Daily subsistence provided during travel at $15.88 per day, up to a maximum of $59.00 with receipts.
• Transportation reimbursement for travel to the place of employment.
• Optional shared housing available at no cost.
