About the position
The Delivery Driver position at Colonial Materials involves safely operating a commercial motor vehicle to deliver building materials to various job sites. The role emphasizes compliance with safety regulations, excellent customer service, and teamwork, while also providing opportunities for professional growth within a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect truck/trailer for defects for safe operation.
- Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
- Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
- Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
- Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for load/unload.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred.
- Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in delivery or logistics roles.
- Familiarity with building materials and construction sites.
