About the position

The Delivery Driver Non CDL position at U.S. AutoForce involves driving a box truck to make deliveries of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to various customers. The role requires maintaining accurate delivery records, ensuring timely and safe deliveries, and performing vehicle inspections. The position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy items and operate equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive a box truck under 26,001 pounds or other vehicles during delivery routes making 10-20 deliveries per day.
• Complete and maintain accurate records and logs including driver's logs and fuel purchase logs as required by company policy and law.
• Make on-time deliveries at customer locations in a safe and punctual manner in all weather conditions.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle being driven.
• Lift products weighing up to 50 pounds consistently and occasionally up to 80 pounds, using team lifts or mechanical equipment for heavier items.
• Assist in the loading/unloading of trucks and operate equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks when needed.
• Work approximately 8-12 hours per day and operate a handheld device to ensure all deliveries are fulfilled.
• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Collect payments from customers upon delivery of products.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older.
• 1 year of professional driving experience (cube van, box truck, or semi) and satisfactory completion of company road test by qualified assessor.
• Ability to be trained and safely use powered industrial trucks (forklifts).
