About the position

The Demand Planner at Johnson Service Group is responsible for managing and planning materials from warehouse receipt through delivery to customers in a medical device company. This role combines data analytics with operational planning to ensure accurate and timely data transactions, focusing on continuous improvement in demand planning, purchasing, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Aggregate product demand and set system demand forecasts.
• Prepare demand vs. inventory scenarios.
• Identify and manage aging work orders and production issues.
• Oversee production scheduling and enhance visibility.
• Introduce tools like capacity planning.
• Ensure inventory accuracy.
• Manage excess, obsolete, and scrap materials.
• Develop warehouse strategies.
• Manage ERP part master data.
• Handle sterilized/expiration date-limited products.
• Maintain material product history in the ERP System.
• Act as an ERP System Subject Matter Expert.
• Provide system training and resolve discrepancies.
• Expand ERP functionality.
• Support audits with ERP System information.
• Perform ERP transactions.
• Document processes with the Finance team.
• Capture data for metrics analysis.
• Prepare and present reports for decision-making.
• Introduce and coach lean best practices.
• Manage continuous improvement events.
• Resolve inefficiencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a technical degree with ERP and MRP experience.
• 6+ years of ERP and MRP system administration in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to thrive in a small to medium-sized early-stage commercial business environment.
