About the position

The Demand Planner will be responsible for forecasting and managing product demand to ensure that supply aligns with customer needs efficiently. This role involves analyzing sales data, collaborating with various teams, and utilizing forecasting tools to enhance inventory management and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and other factors to predict future product demand using statistical methods and forecasting tools.
• Collaborating with supply chain and inventory teams to maintain appropriate stock levels based on forecasted demand.
• Monitoring and analyzing sales data, market conditions, and customer behavior to refine forecasts and improve accuracy.
• Working with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align forecasts with business strategies and promotional plans.
• Creating and presenting reports on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and key metrics to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
• Identifying opportunities for improving demand planning processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilizing demand planning software and tools to support forecasting and inventory management activities.
• Assessing risks related to supply chain disruptions and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Generating regular and ad-hoc reports to present data findings to management and stakeholders, and developing visually appealing presentations to communicate insights.
• Ensuring accuracy and consistency in visualizations by validating data sources and outputs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or analytics/statistics preferred.
• At least 5+ years of experience in demand planning.
• Cannabis industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• Exceptional problem-solving and project management skills.
• Experience with and proficiency in analytic platforms and business analytics.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
