About the position

The Demand Planner for Outdoor Performance at Revelyst is responsible for forecasting product demand and managing inventory flow to ensure efficient delivery and customer satisfaction. This role involves utilizing statistical models, collaborating with various internal teams, and analyzing data to support the Outdoor Performance business strategy focused on consumer needs and brand strength.

Responsibilities

• Estimate future demand for Outdoor Performance products and analyze inventory flow.
• Utilize software to generate statistical unit demand forecasting for forecast group/sku level.
• Collaborate with internal consensus participants including product, trade marketing, and sales.
• Manage sku level forecasting by forecast group-location.
• Establish inventory policies for assigned sku's using software.
• Achieve on-hand inventory goals through parameter settings and inventory replenishment management.
• Contribute to the performance of the sales and operations planning (S&OP) process.
• Manage product life cycle from beginning to end, including exit strategies for excess inventory.
• Analyze and consolidate large volumes of data including shipments, point of sales, and market share.
• Facilitate monthly inventory/replenishment reviews with buying staff to communicate trends and assumptions.
• Develop and maintain weekly sku level demand signals for new, active, and discontinued products.
• Identify key opportunities and obstacles in the forecasting process and assist in continuous improvement.
• Support long-range factory capacity planning by maintaining unit forecasts for 12-18 months.
• Responsible for End-of-Life sku planning and communication to liquidate inventory.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Demand Planner or in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
