About the position

The Director of Category, Demand Planning & Inventory Management at Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is responsible for leading a global demand planning organization. This role focuses on improving demand planning accuracy and inventory management to support the International Sales Organization (ISO) and ISG. The director will manage a team of demand planners, analyze market trends, and collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to optimize inventory and revenue.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a global demand planning organization.
• Manage a team of demand planners with full people-management responsibilities.
• Accountable for forecast accuracy and resource allocation for the team.
• Use research and analysis to predict consumer demand and manage inventory.
• Partner with sales and ISG business units to maintain demand forecasting models.
• Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast demand and identify growth opportunities.
• Work with sales and supply chain managers to align supply with demand and resolve inventory issues.
• Establish key performance metrics for forecast accuracy and measure performance against goals.
• Prepare and present forecast and inventory metrics to management teams.
• Review and improve forecasting techniques and methods.
• Provide technical guidance based on expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a relevant field.
• 10+ years of previous experience in supply chain.

• Strong communication skills at all levels, including with cross-functional executives.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems with limited data using analytic skills and judgment.
