Requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during examinations, cleanings, and other dental procedures.
• Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Follow sterilization procedures to clean and disinfect instruments and work areas, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
• Set up and prepare dental operatory with necessary instruments, materials, and equipment for specific procedures.
• Educate patients about proper oral hygiene, provide pre- and post-operative care instructions, and ensure they are comfortable throughout treatment.
• Assist with various procedures, such as placing fillings, taking impressions, performing soft tissue management, and applying sealants or fluoride treatments.
• Accurately update and maintain patient charts and records, ensuring all treatment information is properly documented.
• Work closely with the dental team to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the dental office, helping other staff as needed.
