About the position

At Benevis, we are on a mission to create happy, healthy smiles through high-quality dental care, particularly for underserved families. As an Associate Dentist, you will play a crucial role in this mission by providing dental services to our diverse patient base, which primarily consists of children aged 3-21, with up to 30% being adults. Our practice is equipped with advanced technology, including DentaPro software, digital x-ray and Panorex units, and fiber-optic handpieces, ensuring that you have the tools necessary to deliver exceptional care. You will work in a supportive environment with a dedicated team, including a hygienist, hygiene assistant, and two dental assistants per provider, allowing you to focus on patient care while ensuring efficient office flow. In this role, you will not only provide dental services but also engage with the community to promote a positive image of the company. Responsibilities

  • Provide dental services to patients, primarily children and young adults.
  • Participate in community activities to promote a positive image of the company.
  • Engage in morning huddles and team planning sessions.
  • Ensure efficient office flow by managing patient appointments and care.
  • Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to deliver high-quality care.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and emergency management training requirements.

Requirements

  • DDS/DMD from a dental education program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
  • Current, valid license to practice dentistry in the state of Louisiana or eligibility for licensure.
  • Certifications as required, including CPR and DEA.
  • Nitrous Oxide certification (only required in LA, MS, DC, TX, MA).
  • Compassion and a strong desire to provide dental care to both children and adults.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with pediatric patients.
  • Familiarity with DentaPro software and digital x-ray technology.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
