About the position

The Deposit Product Manager at Consumers Credit Union (CCU) is responsible for managing the retail deposit portfolio, which includes checking, savings, and certificate of deposit accounts. This role involves developing product strategies aligned with business objectives, overseeing the product life cycle, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance member experience and drive deposit growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the retail deposit portfolio including checking accounts, savings accounts, certificates of deposits, and related products and services.
  • Analyze market trends and member needs to develop product strategies that align with business objectives and member experience.
  • Manage the product life cycle, including product development, pricing, and promotion, leveraging a keen understanding of the end-to-end product experience.
  • Produce and present recommendations to internal leadership committees.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful launch and ongoing management of products.
  • Partner with marketing to develop and execute tailored strategies to drive deposit growth and engagement across the product suite.
  • Understand the member journey and work with key stakeholders to improve the experience.
  • Lead regular meetings to align key product enablers and stakeholders on in-flight efforts and the product roadmap.
  • Work with internal training and coaching teams to create a uniform understanding across the company of the product design and value propositions.
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for product improvement and/or additions.
  • Analyze product performance metrics to identify opportunities and understand progress towards goals.
  • Conduct regular member research to gather feedback and improve product offerings.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources to provide comprehensive reporting on product financial performance, member engagement, growth, and experience feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or a related field
  • 5+ years' experience in product management; in financial services - preferred
  • Retail deposit product knowledge
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks requiring attention to detail, strategic thinking, organizational, analytical and research skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and others at all levels of an organization
  • Goal-driven, self-starter with the ability to work independently, and is a champion for change
  • Track record of successfully managing a product life cycle and leveraging system think to successfully influence experience transformation.
