About The Position

The Deputy Program Manager at SOS International LLC plays a crucial role in leading a team responsible for system engineering, operation, maintenance, and security, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards. This position involves overseeing contractual and financial matters, applying subject matter expertise, and leading major Information System Modernization projects to support USINDOPACOM and its mission across the Pacific theater.

Requirements

  • Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility and US Passport.
  • Prior supervisory experience with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead a team within a distributed organizational environment.
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+, CCNA, SSCP).
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in IT Architecture or 10+ years in lieu of degree in Enterprise IT Engineering and Operations in complex classified DoD environments.
  • Familiarity with DoD Zero Trust guidance and principles of Data Centric Security.
  • Advanced knowledge in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Hyperconverged Infrastructure, DoD Battle Management Systems, and NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Ability to support 24/7 operations when necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced understanding of DoD Zero Trust guidance and principles of Data Centric Security.
  • Experience in ITIL framework and best practices (e.g., Change Management, Configuration Management, Capacity Planning).
  • Additional IT certifications in relevant technology platforms (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, Dell, HPE/Aruba, ITIL, Juniper, Microsoft, Nutanix, Palo Alto, VMware).
  • Well-versed in Department of Defense (DoD) protocols, procedures, and regulations.
  • Familiar with operating in classified environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Manager in overseeing all contractual and financial matters relating to daily operations.
  • Apply comprehensive subject matter expertise across key tasks and high impact assignments.
  • Assist in the planning and leadership of major Information System Modernization projects.
  • Evaluate performance results and recommend changes affecting organizational growth and success.
  • Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
  • Apply management techniques to assure optimum utilization of personnel, equipment, and space.
  • Lead the organization and team to improve core infrastructure, technological architecture, and security capabilities.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and external teams, including users and partners.
  • Produce standardized status reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.
  • Responsible for cost, schedule, performance, and risk identification/mitigation on the program.
  • Coordinate resolutions to production-related problems.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of management skills required to meet mission requirements.
  • Interact regularly with key Government and corporate leaders.
  • Provide monthly contractual reports to the government.
  • Ensure compliance of custody and ownership of Government equipment and related components.
  • Participate in related solution technologies and special projects as required.
