About the position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking Design and Analysis Engineers in Berkeley, MO or Richardson, TX to join the F-22 Raptor Mission Design and Analysis Team with a focus on developing cutting edge engineering solutions to continue to advance the world’s premier air superiority fighter. As a Design and Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for developing engineering solutions for the F-22 Raptor, including both enhancing existing field units with the addition of new capabilities as well as architecting and testing completely new systems. In this role you will be joining a cross-functional team to progress our products through the development lifecycle. Tasks include developing requirements to support customer needs, designing a networked architecture to enable new capabilities, and authoring test plans and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, engaging with multiple teams and being responsive to agile requirements and critical path customer need dates
  • Collaborate with Responsible Engineers, customer technical staff, suppliers, and Lockheed Martin teammates to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for F-22 avionics sub-systems and weapon system architecture
  • Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications in support of lab and operational environments
  • Define verification procedures for critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements
  • Review test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2+ years of working experience with a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree (Level 3) 5+ years of working experience with a Bachelor’s OR 3+ years with a Master’s OR a PhD
  • Experience in avionics, electrical, and/or a mission systems role

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Capable of traveling 10% of the time
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
