About the position

As a Sales Design Consultant with Bumble Bee Blinds of South Austin, you will play a pivotal role in selling window-covering products and installation services to both residential and commercial clients. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of spaces through innovative design solutions. You will be responsible for building a clientele, driving sales revenue, and upholding the company's standards of quality and professionalism. A successful design consultant is expected to maintain high customer service standards while being detail-oriented, organized, creative, ambitious, and personable. In this role, you will leverage your strong listening and communication skills, along with a sales-driven mindset, to present tailored solutions to prospective customers. Your daily activities will involve servicing qualified leads generated by our award-winning marketing team, ensuring that you can effectively meet the unique preferences and buying needs of each client. Additionally, we are offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for new Sales Design Consultants who join the South Austin Team, with specific payout terms after 90 and 180 days of service.

Responsibilities

  • Provides reliable, high quality customer support.
  • Drive leads by answering new and existing customers' phone calls while following sales processes.
  • Schedule and perform in-home consultations, providing customer instruction on various window covering options and functionality, to provide estimates.
  • Build and nurture strong networking relationships with new clients, existing clients, interior designers, realtors, and builders in the market.
  • Responsible for maintaining, updating, and communicating client data, project status, and job details in the CRM.
  • Utilizes customer information, materials, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
  • Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
  • Meet work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
  • Monitor and review all work orders to ensure customer expectations are met in a timely manner.
  • Maintain constant communication between all departments, as well as customers, on current work orders.
  • Manage and maintain daily sales reporting.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings, webinars, and trainings.
  • Arrive on time to work and any/all appointments and meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service industry or commercial sales.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Very detail oriented, organized, and can keep efficient notes and records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including an understanding of basic grammar and writing.
  • High energy, positive attitude, and forward thinking.
  • Strong team player and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of CRM programs.
  • Previous Window Covering Sales/Service Experience Preferred, Not Required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate willingness to be flexible and adapt to change.
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures.
  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Strong working knowledge of common computer software including but not limited to: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, CRM.
