Design Engineer-Electrical

About the position

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Wire Harness Designer with over 5 years of relevant experience in Electrical Wire Harness Design, Routing, Cable Form, and Wire Bundle Definition specifically for Aerospace Wiring. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Zukin Software for Wire Harness Design and will be responsible for designing conceptual wiring diagrams, documenting, and releasing detailed wiring diagrams. The role also involves ensuring Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) segregation routes based on signal types and implementing Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protection. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in electrical integration, wire/cable size calculations to meet aircraft environmental requirements, and selecting wires/cables based on signal type, current, voltage, and EMC/EMI requirements. The position requires proficiency in defining and selecting connectors and backshells, as well as supporting technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total harness air vehicle design.

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual wiring diagrams
• Design, document, and release detailed wiring diagrams
• Define Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) segregation routes based on signal types
• Define distance segregation routes depending on the types of signal
• Implement Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protection
• Conduct electrical integration
• Calculate wire/cable sizes to satisfy aircraft environmental requirements
• Select wires/cables to meet signal type, current, voltage, EMC, and EMI requirements
• Define and select connectors and backshells
• Support technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total harness air vehicle design

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Wire Harness Design, Routing, Cable Form, Wire Bundle Definition for Aerospace Wiring
• Experience and proficiency with Zukin Software for Wire Harness Design
• Degree/Associate Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Must be a USC/Green Card Holder
