About the position

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer II to join our team in Austin or remote. Come join a globally distributed team of talented DevOps engineers working with Planview's flagship Portfolios product. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust DevOps solutions that support our Product Development and Operations teams. This opportunity will offer exposure to a variety of technical disciplines, including, but not limited to, Identity and Access Management, Infrastructure as Code, and Cloud Automation. Responsibilities

  • Manage E1's AWS cloud infrastructure, and application deployment solutions
  • Design, build and improve upon existing CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  • Triage and remediate production infrastructure, and application issues when needed
  • Develop and/or discover technologies and strategies that can be leveraged to improve our workflows and increase operational efficiency
  • Participate in on-call rotation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience in related field
  • 5+ years in a programming / scripting role (C#, PowerShell, Groovy, Python)
  • Advanced experience with services offered by major cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Solid experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer)
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and branching strategies
  • Extensive experience administering Windows and Linux environments
  • Hands on experience with monitoring and alerting tools / services (New Relic, Sumo Logic)
  • Familiarity with Agile and Lean software development principles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in an engineering/development role is highly preferred
  • Practical knowledge of containerization and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
