DevOps Engineer (Deployment team)

About the position

Wargaming is hiring DevOps Engineer to work in our Deployment team! We are responsible for our game servers at all stages of their life cycle, including various infrastructure services related to our games. Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the availability, performance, security, and reliability of our games and parts of the infrastructure around them at all stages of their service life cycle
• Optimization and tuning of our high-load services
• Support and development of a large amount of automation for the build, deployment and other processes required for our games and related services

Requirements

• Professional work experience with Linux systems, and system administration related tasks
• Experience using Bash for routine operations and automation (including awk, sed)
• Work experience with relational databases (for example MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Work experience with version control systems (for example Git, SVN, Perforce)
• Development experience in at least one programming language (Python, Golang, Ruby, Perl or others)
• Understanding of principles and experience with containerization tools (for example Docker, Podman, LXC, OpenVZ, Jail or others)
• Understanding the principles and experience with orchestration systems (for example K8S, Methos/Marathon, Swarm, Nomad, Compose or others)
• Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and experience with tools (for example Jenkins, Teamcity, GitLab CI or others)
• Work experience with message brokers (for example Kafka, RabbitMQ or others)
• Work experience with automation tools (for example Puppet, Ansible, Fabric, Chef, Salt, Terraform or others)
• Work experience with configuration and secret management systems (for example Zookeeper, Consul, Vault or others)
• Work experience with various monitoring systems (for example Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Graphite or others)
• Experience in debugging applications at the system and network level
• Understanding how modern systems and network protocols work
• Understanding the basic principles of DevOps and SRE methodologies
• English level from Intermediate

Nice-to-haves

• Expertise in building large scale, high volume, secure, efficient, and resilient operations environment
• Advanced hands-on Python / Rust / Golang programming experience
• Experience in making decisions with minimal supervision
