About The Position

The DevOps Engineer position at Parsons Corporation is designed for early-career professionals who are eager to contribute to the development and support of DevSecOps tooling, pipelines, and containerized deployments for military applications. This role involves working within an Agile team to deliver critical mission applications, ensuring national security through innovative software solutions. The position supports a hybrid work model, allowing for both in-office and remote work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with at least 5 years of technical experience; additional relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
• Familiarity with DevOps (CI/CD) pipeline concepts and tools (e.g., Gitlab, Nexus, Artifactory, Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, Fortify).
• Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go), preferably Bash.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both spoken and written English.
• Must be a US citizen with ability and willingness to obtain a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Familiarity with building software written in multiple languages (Java, NodeJS, Python, Go).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Rancher and Ansible.
• Understanding of deploying and configuring software in AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with Gitlab pipelines.
• Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of DevSecOps tooling and pipelines.
• Collaborate with software engineers and other DevOps engineers to create and deploy national/tactical solutions.
• Participate in Agile team activities and contribute to the development of mission-critical applications.
• Learn and adapt to new tools and concepts in a fast-paced environment.
