DevOps Engineer

About the position

The SafeStreets Technology Team is searching for an experienced, enthusiastic, and innovative DevOps Engineer. Working closely with Technology Team members, project managers, and business partners, this individual will provide design, development, implementation, and support of software solutions and systems integrations, primarily supporting Salesforce related development.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building cloud-native infrastructure
• Implementing CI/CD infrastructures
• Managing cloud-based production environment (AWS)
• Using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloudformation, CDK)
• Coding in Python/Java/Go (or another equivalent)
• Extensive experience with Docker, Kubernetes or ECS
• Debugging and troubleshooting complex problems in the cloud
• Learning rapidly and independently taking on new technologies and technical challenges
• Collaborating as a team player with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Exhibiting strong leadership skills and influencing effectively with both technical and non-technical people

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Design, build and operate Cloud infrastructure for CI/CD of microservices
• Define standards and best practices for the organization
• Work cross-functionally on various product lines and/or business units
• Support the availability of the platform and production application
• Automate processes to reduce repetitive manual effort
• SQL experience and knowledge
• Critical thinking and problem solving ability
• Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and deliver results on aggressive timelines
• Experience in agile sprint workflows
• Excellent communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
