About the position

The NetApp Sales Engineer position at Quadrant, Inc. is a critical role that involves supporting a top sales team throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strong insights into NetApp solutions and helping to identify and implement solutions that meet client needs. This role requires a deep understanding of both NetApp products and broader enterprise cloud solutions, as well as experience in data center solutions. The Sales Engineer will work closely with senior sales teams to assess client requirements and deliver tailored solutions that drive sales success. In this position, the Sales Engineer will engage in various activities, including maintaining engineering procedures, collaborating with sales teams, and conducting presentations to promote new products to customers at the beginning of the sales cycle. The role also involves participating in client meetings and presentations to help close deals at the end of the sales cycle. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, as the Sales Engineer will be client-facing and must effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. The candidate must possess a current NetApp certification, either NCDA or NCIE, and have a proven track record of at least 5 years in NetApp sales, ideally with experience in both pre-sales and post-sales environments. The role is remote but requires travel around the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area, making flexibility and adaptability key attributes for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Support a top sales team throughout the sales process.
  • Provide strong NetApp insights and help identify solutions for client needs.
  • Leverage experience in enterprise cloud solutions and data center solutions to assist in closing deals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience with NetApp sales, preferably both pre & post sales.
  • Experience with datacenter enterprise solutions (other than NetApp).
  • Experience with cloud/hybrid-cloud solutions.
  • Experience working with Senior Sales teams to identify needs and provide solutions for clients.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Well-rounded people skills and ability to be client-facing.
  • Extremely analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Current NetApp Certification (either NCDA or NCIE).
