About the position

DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech to serve our patients out of our Heart of Marion Dialysis Center in Marion, OH and floating between that location and our Kenton, Mid Ohio (Ontario), Galion, and Apple Valley Dialysis (Mount Vernon). Paid Training Provided!

Responsibilities

  • Direct Patient Care: Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.
  • Technician Duties: Prepare the water room and bicarb for patients, test water for chlorine, and ensure tools are calibrated.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
  • Build long-term relationships with patients suffering from end-stage renal disease and educate them on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) as part of a cross-functional team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable working around blood and needles.
  • Ability to mix acid or bicarb.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical and mental ability to work long hours on your feet (some shifts are 12+ hours).
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
  • Healthcare experience preferred, including BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certification in relevant fields such as CHT, CNA, CMA, or Phlebotomy.
