About the position

Cox Communications is seeking a Digital Advertising Product Manager to support its Cox Media team. This role involves comprehensive lifecycle management of assigned advertising products within Cox Media's local advertising portfolio, including the design and maintenance of processes to drive revenue, product enhancements, and the evaluation of underperforming products. The position requires a mix of in-office and remote work, and the candidate must reside within a Cox Communications listed location.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-departmental efforts to drive the success of the Product Management and Development Team.
  • Partner with Sales to identify strategies for increasing market share and revenue.
  • Collaborate with Cox Media markets for product launches and enhancements.
  • Align with Marketing COE to ensure proper positioning of product offerings.
  • Work with third-party vendors and Operations teams for fulfillment and billing practices.
  • Develop and maintain an operating plan and budget for assigned products with the Finance team.
  • Drive product enhancements in an agile development environment.
  • Assist in developing business cases for product roadmap investments.
  • Evaluate programmatic inventory sources for optimization and revenue growth.
  • Negotiate partnerships with new supply partners and publishers.
  • Interface with sales teams to provide subject matter expertise on products.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure accountability and performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in B-to-B product/brand management or media/advertising sales management.
  • Demonstrated experience with Digital Media advertising products.
  • Experience with DSPs such as DV360, Google Campaign Manager, Amazon, etc.
  • Strong ability to work across departmental boundaries to achieve common goals.
  • Proven ability to develop detailed work plans and execute under pressure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization, detail, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • BS/BA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in a management role or leading cross-functional projects.
  • Project management software experience.
  • DSP/SSP experience related to inventory negotiation.
