About the position

The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Digital and Social Media Marketing courses remotely. The role involves engaging adult learners in the study of integrated marketing communications and social media marketing, focusing on leveraging digital tools to achieve marketing objectives. Faculty members are expected to provide constructive feedback, guide collaborative learning, and demonstrate subject-matter expertise to enhance student success.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Digital and Social Media Marketing courses remotely.
  • Engage students through frequent interaction and motivate them to succeed.
  • Guide students in active collaboration and application of their learning.
  • Provide constructive feedback on student work using rubrics.
  • Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise.
  • Provide feedback on possible curricular improvements.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Marketing or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Teaching experience in digital marketing is required.
  • Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with problem- and project-based learning methodologies.
  • Familiarity with current digital marketing trends and tools.
