About the position

The Digital Content Creator at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver plays a vital role in enhancing the organization's outreach and engagement through innovative digital and written content. This position is responsible for creating compelling content that will be distributed across various platforms, including social media, web, and print publications. The Digital Content Creator will collaborate closely with all Agency ministries to increase brand awareness, generate publicity, and improve internal communications. The ideal candidate is a masterful storyteller and an engaging social media expert, capable of curating and managing the organization's social channels while responding to audience interactions. A strong emphasis is placed on video creation and design, making these skills critical for success in this role. In this position, the Digital Content Creator will produce social and internal communications that align with the Agency's mission and Catholic teachings. Responsibilities include planning, designing, writing, and creating videos and images for daily social media posts, managing the editing and approval process for all content, and tracking metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communications. The role also involves conceptualizing and producing a weekly internal e-newsletter, writing collateral for various ministries, and supporting event teams by generating content during events. The Digital Content Creator will work collaboratively with the marketing team to develop and distribute publicity for all productions and activities, ensuring that all communications reflect the values of Catholic Charities. Candidates for this position should possess a strong ability to conceptualize and juggle multiple digital platforms, demonstrating creativity and innovation in content creation. The role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to tell stories through various media, and a commitment to treating all individuals with dignity and respect. The Digital Content Creator will also maintain confidentiality regarding client and agency information, ensuring that all communications uphold the Agency's values and mission.

Responsibilities

  • Produce social and internal communications consistent with Agency mission and Catholic teachings.
  • Plan, design, write, and create videos and images for daily social media posts on multiple platforms.
  • Create and curate social content, including text, image, and video.
  • Manage editing, approval, scheduling, and metrics/tracking of all posts for assigned platforms.
  • Help plan and implement paid social campaigns, collaborating with social and texting vendors.
  • Conceptualize, produce, and create the weekly internal e-newsletter, including written and video elements.
  • Write collateral for management, development, and ministries for use across multiple platforms.
  • Support the events team by executing events and generating content during events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and distribute publicity for productions and activities.
  • Review and edit collateral, external emails, and appeals to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • At least two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, strategize, create, and manage multiple digital platforms with engaging content.
  • Experience in building and implementing a compelling digital strategy that aligns with the overall marketing plan.
  • Strong ability to work across ministries to gather and deliver content in innovative ways.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to tell stories through video, images, and narration.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
