About The Position

The Digital Marketing Coordinator & Designer manages and implements the Co-op's digital marketing efforts, designing assets and ensuring a consistent brand experience across platforms such as website, social media, email marketing, and other content channels. This role is both collaborative and creative, helping to drive sales, engage the community, and build awareness of the Co-op's values through clear and effective digital communication. Reports To: Marketing & Outreach Manager.

Requirements

  • Degree in design, marketing or related field preferred, or equivalent experience with emphasis in design
  • 2-3 years' social media experience: knowledge of social media best practices and proficient with major social media platforms
  • 1-3 years' professional experience in graphic design preferred
  • Experience with content management systems, such as WordPress, and email marketing platforms, such as Mailchimp
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or equivalent digital media editing tools
  • Experience setting up and optimizing Google Ads campaigns or equivalent PPC ads
  • General knowledge of UX/UI principles and HTML
  • Photography and videography skills preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and the ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent team player who thrives brainstorming in groups, and appreciates working collaboratively as well as independently

Responsibilities

  • Designs pages for the website and proactively maintains the website to ensure information is up to date, effective and accessible; reports on website analytics
  • Coordinates SEM and paid advertising campaigns; provides recommendations for SEO as needed
  • Oversees social media accounts, developing engaging visual content - including graphics, photos and video - and optimizing content for various platforms
  • Maintains digital content publishing calendar; collaborates with Copywriter to brainstorm and plan out email and social content and manages scheduling tools
  • Monitors social accounts and responds as needed to questions and comments, interacts with customers, and tracks engagement with followers
  • Manages email marketing, building and deploying emails, and maintaining email lists
  • Analyzes and reports on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, including email and social media
  • Captures and edits photos for website, social, email and other marketing materials; spearheads photoshoots with other departments as needed
  • Maintains an accessible, organized and searchable digital asset library of all marketing materials, including photography
  • Implements brand guidelines across digital channels, ensuring all materials are cohesive in collaboration with Lead Graphic Designer
  • Acts as a brand ambassador and advocate for the Co-op within the community, nurturing relationships with partners and influencers
