About the position

Work with a cross-functional team of marketing professionals in the development and execution of digital marketing efforts and business development projects. The successful candidate will manage several key digital marketing campaigns and develop innovative and effective digital student journeys within our current digital marketing ecosystem. Tactics include search engine marketing, email marketing, and social media marketing. Additionally, this position will identify trends and insights, and optimize tactics and performance based on experience and data analytics. This position may have the opportunity to work hybrid where a mix of in-person work from a Boise State worksite and an alternative work location within Idaho is utilized. Candidates must be able to work on-site as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of key omnichannel digital marketing campaigns.
  • Manage paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, conducting keyword research, writing ad copy, and optimizing campaigns for conversions.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies, run social media advertising campaigns, and analyze performance metrics.
  • Conduct keyword research, optimize website content and structure, build backlinks, and track SEO performance to improve organic search rankings.
  • Contribute to content development and maintenance of CRM systems utilized by the Extended Studies marketing and communication team.
  • Allocation and optimization of digital campaign budgets.
  • Monitor website traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates using tools like Google Analytics, identify areas for improvement, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Benchmark higher education performance measures and gather and compare the effectiveness of Extended Studies efforts. Make recommendations based on performance and target KPIs.
  • Generate and manage assets for the breadth of ESS partners.
  • Oversee messaging and content posted to various university platforms.
  • Serve as an advocate for the university and act in the best interest of the university.
  • Maintain professional flexibility to accommodate rapidly changing processes, program information and priorities.
  • Make recommendations and implement industry digital marketing best practices.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to manage, coordinate, and deliver on concepts and information to effectively communicate information.
  • Work effectively on both individual and group tasks and projects. Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously.
  • Collaborate closely with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external, on all aspects of projects, including planning, content, layout and publication of marketing materials, turnaround time, etc.
  • Manage multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • May perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years experience or equivalent.
  • Ability to generate, cultivate and maintain business relationships with the university community, maintain a high level of communication skills and work well with a diverse group of people.
  • Must be able to work independently, make decisions and problem solve.
  • Ability to compose written material with a succinct message and free of spelling or grammatical errors.
  • Good knowledge of digital marketing systems and platforms; developing and implementing communication and marketing plans.
  • Experience implementing marketing and advertising plans as well as computer literacy.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years experience managing omnichannel digital marketing campaigns.
  • 2 years experience working in higher education marketing.
