About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist will support the social media and content creation efforts of FOCUS Catholic, with a focus on maintaining consistency and strategic growth across platforms. This role is designed for a recent college graduate looking to develop content creation skills while managing logistics and helping the team stay organized. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing social media strategies aligned with FOCUS' brand.
  • Schedule and post daily content across FOCUS platforms using a six-week rolling calendar.
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and track performance metrics.
  • Work with internal teams (e.g., Missions, Summer Projects) to create and share timely, mission-aligned content.
  • Maintain accurate status updates for all content projects using Monday.com.
  • Organize deliverables in Box and attach final assets to corresponding tasks in Monday.com and Basecamp.
  • Submit invoices and expense reports accurately and on time.
  • Take and distribute notes from team meetings; manage deadlines and team calendars.
  • Coordinate meetings and logistics to ensure team goals are met on schedule.
  • Serve as a liaison between the digital marketing team and internal departments.
  • Assist with intake, coordination, and follow-up of digital content requests.
  • Complete 95% of assigned deliverables on time; complete remaining 5% within one week of deadline.
  • Track social media engagement and content performance to inform strategy.
  • Raise and maintain at least $3,400 in monthly support.
  • Meet FOCUS DSC standards for Mission Partner Engagement.
  • Build and execute an annual MPD plan that includes communication, spiritual support, and regular asks.
  • Dedicate at least 4 hours weekly to MPD activities.
  • Actively nurture your spiritual life through regular prayer, sacraments, and participation in team devotions (Rosary, Chaplet, etc.).
  • Attend daily Mass when possible and meet monthly with a spiritual director.
  • Support a culture of joyful sacrifice, unity, and personal excellence in all areas of work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred, but not required)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Interest in learning content strategy, project management, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced team environment
  • Commitment to the Catholic faith and alignment with the mission of FOCUS
