About the position

The Office of Experiential Learning articulates and implements the vision for experiential learning at UGA that informs student, faculty, staff, and community engagement in high impact, degree integrated, real-world, learning experiences that enable students to thrive. Reporting to the OEL Scholarships & Public Relations Coordinator, the Media Intern supports the marketing and communications functions of the Office with a focus on digital media channels. This position is primarily in-person but may involve some around campus and after-hours responsibilities. This is a temporary, undergraduate student internship position, working at least 10 but no more than 20 hours a week. Candidates should have availability to schedule these hours for work on-site between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a UGA Undergraduate degree program
  • Excellent written, oral, and communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Project management skills
  • General graphic design capabilities
  • Strong working knowledge of Instagram and LinkedIn

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience or academic backgrounds in digital marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, media and/or graphic design
  • Experience with videography, video content creation and production
  • Technical skills in MS Excel, Adobe, Canva, Adobe Design
  • Experience with executing digital campaign strategies
