DIGITAL MEDIA SPECIALIST I

About the position

Performs entry-level technical work in the development and ongoing maintenance of Palm Beach County's website and social media presence within the Public Affairs Department. Responsible for reviewing and organizing information as well as developing website and social media pages utilizing available web-based technology. Work involves meeting with Departmental representatives to plan and develop website and social media projects. Collects and analyzes data and advises supervisor of trends and program impacts in order to assist in program planning and development activities. Work is reviewed by an administrative superior through conferences, written reports, and results obtained.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Palm Beach County's website and social media presence.
• Review and organize information for web and social media projects.
• Meet with Departmental representatives to plan website and social media projects.
• Collect and analyze data to advise supervisor on trends and program impacts.
• Assist in program planning and development activities.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Public Affairs, Public/Business Administration, Design, Fine Arts, Communications, Advertising/Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in social media, marketing, website development, and in the creation of HTML and related documents.
• Experience in digital media or related field that includes use of social and multimedia technologies.
• Equivalency: Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification and three (3) years of related experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in social media marketing.
• Experience in shooting videos.
• Experience in editing with Adobe Creative Suite.
