About the position

The Digital Solutions Consultant at Kuehne + Nagel plays a crucial role in the Global Digital Solutions Team, focusing on consulting activities for a portfolio of Global Accounts and selected National and Business Unit Sales Accounts. This position is responsible for guiding Sales Colleagues and customer-facing staff in effectively utilizing digital solutions to drive business growth, promote customer retention, and support new business wins.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting support at various stages of the sales cycle, including during Request For Quotations, Quarterly Business Reviews, and other customer interactions.
  • Deliver training sessions from the Digital Solutions Training Program to Sales colleagues across all channels, and ensure the Digital Solutions Intranet serves as an effective resource for customer-facing staff.
  • Lead consulting projects aligned with Digital Solutions methodologies and provide Digital Solutions support for Supply Chain Design Team projects.
  • Oversee the transition from consulting to implementation, following processes agreed upon between Sales and Business Units (Sea, Air, and Road).
  • Identify opportunities to upsell digital solutions to enhance customer loyalty, drive internal efficiencies, and position solutions as unique value propositions to close deals and improve sales profitability.
  • Gather customer feedback, collaborate with Digital Solutions Management (DSM), IT, and Business Units (Sea, Air, and Road) on solution development, and stay informed of competitive technology advancements and supply chain intelligence trends.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within Digital Solutions to ensure ease of doing business for internal stakeholders.
  • Execute Global Digital Solutions policies and strategies within the assigned area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Experience in consulting or sales support within a digital solutions context.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
