About the position

Del Amo Behavioral Health System, a subsidiary of UHS, provides comprehensive treatment for children, adolescents, adults, seniors and the military. Our multidisciplinary team provides customized treatment programs and mental health evaluations for individualized care. Del Amo Behavioral Health System offers a wide range of options, including inpatient, outpatient and specialty programs for military personnel and those who deal with trauma. The Director of Risk Management is responsible for reviewing incident reports and conducting investigations as necessary to ensure optimum staff, visitor and patient safety. The Director is directly or indirectly involved in the planning, directing, and organization of staff development activities and submission of reports to the Performance Improvement Committee, Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body. Collaborates with Human Resources regarding New Hire Orientation. Responsible to operate within with departmental budget.

Responsibilities

  • Review incident reports and conduct investigations to ensure staff, visitor, and patient safety.
  • Plan, direct, and organize staff development activities.
  • Submit reports to the Performance Improvement Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and the Governing Body.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources regarding New Hire Orientation.
  • Operate within departmental budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and/or Master's Degree in Nursing or related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of two years experience in Psychiatric/Chemical Dependency environment.
  • Familiarity with regulations and requirements of The Joint Commission, Title 22, and Medicare.
  • Ability to develop criteria based reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Assertive yet professional interpersonal skills for internal and external relations.
  • Great organizational and time management skills.
