About The Position

The Community Living Instructor provides resident care and supervision to assigned residents and maintains resident environment and safety. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position with a primary schedule of Monday - Friday from 6:00am to 2:00pm. Required availability for all days and shifts as needed. Due to critical service needs of the communities served, a $1,000 sign-on bonus is being offered. The role involves assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), providing treatment interventions, maintaining safety, and documenting care and behavior.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least one (1) year of work experience or self-employment required.
• A valid unrestricted driver's license at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a class E MO driver's license by the end of the 60-day introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Document care given daily on Personal Care Documentation Form for assigned residents.
• Assist in serving meals to residents.
• Provide treatment interventions to residents in alignment with their individualized treatment plan.
• Conduct hourly resident checks as assigned.
• Maintain resident Smoke Schedule and supervise residents for safety, including stocking cigarettes.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities, socialization, work schedules, and regular exercise.
• Monitor and document resident behavior using ICPR progress notes (three notes per shift).
• Assist clients in meeting their general health needs, including transportation to scheduled appointments.
• Administer medications as ordered by physician, including narcotic counts and transcribing MD orders.
• Review, understand, and adhere to the S26 Keaton ALF Manual and complete necessary documentation.
