About the position

The Director of Cambia Health Foundation Strategy & Operations is responsible for aligning the foundation's philanthropic activities with Cambia's broader company goals and community needs. This leadership role focuses on enhancing corporate reputation through community engagement, overseeing budget and operations, and fostering partnerships to address health equity and access to services. The position requires a strong commitment to corporate philanthropy and the ability to inspire and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as chair of Cambia's internal Corporate Citizenship Committee
  • Enhance the company's corporate reputation through developing and maintaining relationships with community leaders, charitable giving partners, public health entities, elected officials, and nonprofit organizations
  • Oversee budget, finances, and day-to-day operations of the Cambia Health Foundation Team
  • Build external relationships among public and private funders and seek opportunities for collaboration with business partners, funders, and public entities
  • Connect with and amplify the voices of nonprofit grant partners
  • Develop thought leadership and research to advance evidence-backed models
  • Engage external partners in public-private partnerships to address shared challenges such as access to behavioral health services and health equity
  • Serve as a spokesperson to represent Cambia's philanthropic arm in the communities we serve
  • Share stories of impact with employees, consumers, and the public
  • Inspire employee giving and volunteerism and administer 50% match from Cambia Health Foundation
  • Raise external awareness of Cambia's commitment to the community in partnership with Strategic Communications, Public Policy, Sales, and Marketing Teams
  • Provide ongoing leadership to employees by facilitating and making timely decisions, providing effective communication, recognition and development, and participating in organization talent management and succession planning
  • Provide leadership in developing, implementing, and communicating short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for the function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, public administration, business management or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in corporate philanthropy, corporate social responsibility or community affairs
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in budgeting and budget monitoring of philanthropic investment expenses
  • Experience successfully leading teams in multiple locations within a highly matrixed organization
  • Deep understanding of corporate philanthropy and corporate social responsibility principles
  • Demonstrated competency in executing broadly applied corporate philanthropy strategies
  • Thorough knowledge of community relations and philanthropy across the Regence footprint
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact successfully at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong planning and project management abilities
  • Ability to work across teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Ability to create strong external partnerships and communicate key messages that enhance Cambia's reputation

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in public health or related fields
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a nonprofit organization
