About the position

The Director of Client Services - Sales at BDA is a strategic leadership role focused on managing and growing revenue through exceptional client satisfaction and oversight of key account teams. This position requires a blend of sales strategy, team leadership, and client relationship management to drive the company's growth and support clients' marketing and branding goals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an active member of BDA's Sales Leadership Team regarding overall business strategic planning.
  • Work with VP of Sales and Account Team leaders to set and implement sales strategies for growth of assigned accounts.
  • Help Account Teams establish strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for new business development within assigned accounts.
  • Lead team to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to support sales and revenue objectives of BDA.
  • Set financial and performance goals for team(s) in support of strategic objectives.
  • Analyze financial aspects of accounts to make sound business decisions for BDA.
  • Collaborate on new business proposals and presentations, developing creative ideas for client marketing projects.
  • Work with other BDA sales and operational leaders to ensure continued growth in sales and profitability.
  • Drive revenue growth by coaching team to explore and capitalize on client needs.
  • Serve as escalation point for direct reports and client inquiries, addressing concerns promptly.
  • Engage in leadership forums and client industry meet-ups to build networks and new business opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance BDA offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and contribute to BDA's revenue growth.
  • Support the growth of the collective client portfolio of the team.
  • Coach and mentor members of the key account team, maintaining fair expectations.
  • Manage performance documentation of direct reports and conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Build, recruit, train, retain, and motivate teams, assisting in development of internal pipeline for future sales management opportunities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years business development/retail product sales management experience.
  • 5+ years proven experience leading and motivating outside sales teams.
  • Experience managing a team's book of business valued at $20 million or more.
  • Financial and Hospitality vertical experience highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of creating licensed product business opportunities with 3rd party licensed properties.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools for sales and order management (Salesforce preferred).
  • Promotional merchandise experience preferred but not required.
