About the position

The Director of Commercial Finance for Envoyage Americas at Flight Centre Travel Group is a strategic leadership role focused on driving growth and commercial development across the USA and Canada. This position partners with operational leaders and the Global CFO to enhance profitability, manage financial planning and analysis, and support pricing strategies. The role is ideal for an experienced financial analyst or FP&A leader looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic travel retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with brand leaders to support strategic growth objectives in Canada and the USA.
  • Develop and evaluate pricing strategies to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Assess the profitability of products, services, and business sales channels, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare presentations of financial performance and strategic focuses.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget in alignment with the brand's strategic goals.
  • Provide financial forecasts and track performance against targets.
  • Analyze financial results, comparing actual performance with forecasts and budgets, providing insights on variances.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to all levels of the brand's support team, including KPIs, financial metrics, and business trends.
  • Provide financial summaries and input to the brand regional level board reports.
  • Financial ownership of operating expenses such as advertising, promotional, and marketing activities.
  • Partner with management to ensure appropriate resource allocation decisions are made and expenses remain within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • MBA highly sought-after.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in finance roles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel Skills plus PowerBI.
  • Extensive experience in commercial financial planning and analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, be well organized, and have a proven history of success.
  • Proven ability to set goals and execute plans to achieve those goals.
  • Ability to tell a story through presentation of financial results.
  • Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highest levels of integrity, work ethic, and professionalism.
  • Experience working in a multinational company desirable.
  • Experience in the travel industry desirable.
