As a key player in our commercial finance team, you will own all commercial finance matters, partnering with financial and operational stakeholders, including Commercial VPs and Category Presidents. Your role will involve using strong business acumen to support the development and execution of sales long-range plans, budgets, and rolling forecasts. You will collaborate with the Commercial and Growth teams to create detailed revenue plans, ensuring a firm understanding of product life cycles across various business categories and market segments. In this position, you will drive the modeling of business proposals and provide decision support for commercial finance. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure financial models are comprehensive and accurate, and you will monitor the development and presentation of business case analyses for commercial deals and projects. Your responsibilities will also include supporting sales quoting to drive profitable growth and pricing strategies, as well as interfacing with Applications Engineering to prepare and analyze financial models. You will participate in business reviews with critical customers and provide strong financial leadership across the organization. Your role will require effective communication at both detailed and executive levels, coaching and developing team members, and providing financial insights through participation in meetings. You will engage in evaluating and tracking rebates and pricing impacts, ensuring they are captured in the Rolling Forecast and Budget. Additionally, you will provide revenue analytics for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting, perform proactive ad hoc analytics, and drive continuous improvement in commercial finance processes using modern analytics tools. Your expertise in GAAP accounting, data analysis, and ERP applications will be crucial in this role, as will your ability to recognize trends and make recommendations for solutions.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 7-10 years of related experience, preferably within a manufacturing company with multi-facility responsibility.
  • Experience in a lean manufacturing environment utilizing Lean Accounting is a plus.
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting and financial principles.
  • Excellent data analysis skills using modern tools (Power BI, advanced Excel).
  • Proficient knowledge in ERP applications; knowledge of Hyperion is a plus.
  • Analytical thinking, modeling, and forecasting experience.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
